4 New Easier Bet Types
- RISE/FALL - predict if the market will rise or fall from bet open to bet close.
- HIGHER/LOWER - predict if the market will end higher or lower than the price barrier you choose.
- TOUCH/NO TOUCH - predict if the market will touch or not touch a specific price barrier at any time before the bet closes.
- IN/OUT - predict if the market will remain inside or break out of a price range (two barriers) at (A) close, or at (B) any time before the bet closes.
Plus 2 Bets That Stay The Same
- UP/DOWN - place multiple up or down bets on a single market during a 5 minute window.
- RUNBETS - predict if a market will go UP of DOWN in the next 5 ticks.

12 April 2010 - New Indices: Korea, Singapore and Jakarta
We are now offering Intraday and Double bets on the Korea, Singapore and Jakarta (Indonesia) stock market indices.
These stock exchanges are amongst the largest and most active in Asia (outside of China) and BetOnMarkets is one of the few ways to be able to participate in these markets.

23 March 2010 - A new look!
You may have noticed something different about the BetOnMarkets website today. It's our new look - a fresh design to make betting easier. We hope you like and do provide any feedback you may have to our support team.
08 March 2010 - Change in settlement tick policy
In response to your feedback, as of the 13th of March 2010, all bets will settle on the spot price at their expiry time (rather than on the next tick).
The entry tick for Intradays will be the spot price at the start time of the bet. For all other bets, the entry tick will remain the next tick after your order has been received.
04 March 2010 - New extended betting times!
Please note that we have extended the betting times for all bets that expire within the same day, as follows:
- Forex - Bets have to end 120mins before the market closes
- Indices - Bets have to end 25mins before the market closes
- US and UK stocks - Bets have to end 75mins before the market closes

04 February 2010 - New Payment Agent transfer system!
Please note that effective from today we have replaced the Gift Certificate funding option with a simpler Payment Agent Transfer option.
When the Payment Agent Agent receives the funds from a Client, the Agent can transfer the funds directly into the Client's BetOnMarkets account. Subsequently, to withdraw, Clients can send the funds directly to the Payment Agent through the new 'Payment Agent Transfer' section in Cashier.
Due to this change, Gift Certificates have been discontinued. If you have an unclaimed Gift Certificate, please contact us and provide your Login ID and Gift Certificate code. Our Payments team will then credit it to your account within 24 hours.
20 January 2010 - New durations for the Flash bet!
We have now added additional durations to our popular Flash bet. In addition to the current durations covering 30 seconds to 4 minutes, we have added 5, 10, 15, 30 minute and 1, 2, 4 and 8 hour durations as well.
20 January 2010 - Reduced limits for all expiry and boundary bets
Please note that effective immediately we are reducing the maximum payout for all expiry and boundary bets to USD/GBP/EUR/AUD 5,000. These limits will be reviewed periodically and if warrented raised or lowered as needed.

9 November 2009 - Removal of forex from Run Bet Up/Down
Please note that as of 9 November 2009 we will no longer be offering forex markets on the Run Bet Up/Down. Forex will still be available on the Run Bet Quick 10% and Lucky 10% and we will continue to offer the Random Walk indices on all Run Bets.
22 October 2009 - Changes to UK and US stock offerings
Please note that within the next one to two weeks we will make the following changes to our UK and US stock offerings: the number of available stocks will be reduced to four in each market (based on popularity and updated frequently), and the maximum bet duration will be reduced to 30 days.
19 October 2009 - Discontinued Bet Types
On or shortly after Monday October 26, we will no longer be offering the following bet types: Super Double, Double Touch, Contra Bull/Bear Stop (note: we will continue to offer the similarly named Bull/Bear bets).
16 October 2009 - New closing time for forex on every Friday
Please note that effective this Friday, 16 October, the forex market will close at 21:00 GMT, and the Friday daily Open/High/Low/Close will be calculated from 00:00 till 21:00 GMT. From Mondays to Thursdays the forex market will continue to close at 23:59 as currently.
7 October 2009 - Movement requirement for Intraday bets
Please note that we have removed the 0.03% movement requirement for Intraday bets to win. Effective immediately, if the market price is higher (if you make a "rises" bet) or lower (if you make a "falls" bet) by any amount at expiration your bet will pay out.
26 September 2009 - Change to Bull/Bear expiry conditions
The expiry conditions of Bull/Bear bets that start and end within the same day have been updated. With immediate effect, all such bets will be settled according to the next known value of the market after the purchase and expiry times.
10 September 2009 - Removal of limit orders facility
The limit orders facility will shortly be removed, due to low demand and usage of this facility by Clients. Accordingly, the "Orders" and "Order Trail" pages will shortly be removed from the website.

8 September 2009 - Automatic selling of expired bets
Please note that for your convenience we have removed the requirement to "sell" your expired bets. All losing bets will be automatically closed and no longer viewable in your portfolio as soon as the bet expires. Winning bets with less than one day duration will be automatically credited to your account upon expiration, whole winning bets with a one day or greater duration will be automatically credited to your account after 2 business days, or immediately upon clicking the "claim bet" button in your portfolio. Note - this change has no impact whatsoever on funds owed to you, you will simply get you funds from winning bets quicker and without having to take any action.
8 September 2009 - Change to markets available on Run Bets
Due to technical reasons, for all Run Bets we have replaced the GBP/JPY market with the EUR/USD market. Please note that the GBP/JPY is still available on our other Forex bets.
8 September 2009 - Elimination of French, Italian and Swedish language sites
Please note that we are no longer offering our website available in French, Italian and Swedish. If you have used those language versions in the past, note that there will be no impact on your account and you can continue to use our English or other language sites.
13 July 2009 - Trinitas Capital Sells Isle of Man Financial Betting Business to Regent Markets Group
Regent Markets Group, the owner and operator of the BetOnMarkets service, is proud to announce that it has acquired the financial betting business of Trinitas Capital (IOM) Ltd., the operator of the BetsForTraders service.
From 10 July 2009, Trinitas Capital will discontinue the management of its financial betting web site, www.BetsForTraders.com. All clients will have the option to continue betting on stocks, indices, foreign exchange and commodities on BetOnMarkets.com.

Having grown it from scratch over the last few years, the sale will provide expansion capital that will be used to fuel the group's other trading areas. 19 March 2009 - Changes to Withdrawal Options
Further to the introduction of its improved bank wire processing gateway, BetOnMarkets will no longer be offering BACS and EFT as withdrawal options as of the 20th March. This is due to the fact, that the maximum processing time for these methods is generally 3 working days whereas payments and withdrawals processed via our new payment gateway will take a maximum of 2 working days.
11 March 2009 - Spread betting
BetOnMarkets is proud to announce that it launched a spread betting platform for clients worldwide. Clients are able to apply for a spread betting account via their current BetOnMarkets account by accessing the 'Start Betting' section. Clients will be required to forward us due diligence in accordance with current legislation before their spread betting account is approved and activated.
25 February 2009 - Purchase bets in AUD

30 January 2009 - New payment gateway for bank wire transfers
BetOnMarkets is now using a new payment gateway to process bank wire transfers. Account holders in more than 20 countries will now be able to deposit as little as 25 USD/GBP/EUR by bank wire at a very low cost and have their deposit processed within 2 working days.

As a result of our constant effort to improve the website's functionality, the limit orders tool available on the bet purchasing page will no longer be available as of the 2nd February 2009. The orders and order trail page will also be removed.
